ABSTRACT
The study aims at investigation the effectiveness of
hypnosis in treating of Conversion Disorder. It also tries
to study the correlation between hypnosis effectiveness
with the demographic variables of conversion patients.
Experimental method applied in carrying the objectives
of this study. total sample of (40) males and females are
selected applying purposive sample technique. The
sample divided into two groups: experimental and
control group, the first group is subjected to hypnosis
therapy the later is not. The two groups answered
Conversion Disorder Questionnaire. The data
manipulated by Statistical package for social sciences
(SPSS) .The most important results are: there is a
significant difference in Conversion Disorder before and
after hypnosis in favor of experimental group. There is
no significant difference in Conversion Disorder among
experimental group according to gender: there is a
negative correlation between educational level and the
responsiveness to hypnosis. Finally, results were
discussed in the light of literature review,
recommendations were cited according to results, and
suggestions for further studies were proposed.
