Abstract:
This research tackled the job satisfaction among Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Counsellors and its relationship with some demographic variables. The researcher used the descriptive correlated method. The population comprised AIDS psychological Counsellors working at ministry of health in Khartoum State in AIDS and Sexually Transited Infections Control Program. The sample consisted of (67) Counsellors selected by using aimed sampling method. The research measures comprised primary information form, the job satisfaction scale designed by Anwar Shaloul (1999) and AIDS Counsellors job needs scale designed by the researcher. The collected data was analyzed statistically by the following tests: Alpha chronbac formula, Berson's correlation coefficient, Manwitny test, T-test for one sample, One way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Spearman–Brown's correlation coefficient. The research arrived at the following results: 1-There was significant statistical negative job satisfaction among AIDS Counsellors in total degree and dimensions of (relationship with administration – incentives), high job satisfaction in job acceptance dimension and neutral job satisfaction in relationship between companion dimension. 2-There was a positive significant statistical relationship between job satisfaction among AIDS Counsellors and their job needs. 3-There were no significant statistical differences on job satisfaction among AIDS Counsellors according to gender. And there were significant statistical differences on relationship between companion dimension favoured males. 4-There were no significant statistical differences on job satisfaction among AIDS Counsellors according to age. 5-There were no significant statistical differences on job satisfaction among AIDS Counsellors according to educational standard. 6-There was no significant statistical relationship between job satisfaction among AIDS Counsellors and job rank.
